Back in the Homeland

Steven (of our friends Steven and Liz, and dad of JR's bestie, Steven) is from Lufkin, which just happens to be a hop, skip, and a jump from Windy Hill Farm here in Lovelady.

Since they were visiting family in Lufkin, Liz and the kids drove over for a quick visit yesterday.

Luckily, it was baby guinea hatching day.
Ava asked me if she could hold one and I had to say, "I don't know. Nobody's ever asked to hold one before."
Answer: Yes!

Freddie was also offering up tours.
Which was fine with Kyle...as long as he didn't have to give up his seat.
Ever.

Here's the group enjoying what I refer to as "one of Liz's $5 apples".
(Liz is so good to always feed her kids organic.)
You might have noticed that JR is missing from the picture.
And no, it's wasn't because apples were being eaten in his presence.
JR was actually at Fiesta Texas with Granny Sherry.
But don't worry, Steven called him in between roller coaster rides.
