Patty-Pat-Pat

Jason and I were laughing that of all the years we lived in Houston neither of us had ever been downtown to a parade.
Yet we've been in Denver all of about 3 weeks and found ourselves downtown at the St. Patty's day parade on Saturday.

The Denver St. Patrick's Day parade claims it's the biggest St. Patty's day parade west of the Mississippi, and I'm certainly not going to argue.
It was a parade alright, but a total dog and pony show too.

Literally.

I don't have pictures of all the dogs and ponies, but I do have llamas!

And a llama butt, but at least JR's looking at the camera.

Kyle was thrilled there was free jewelery.

And Reed was collecting parade flair like a pro.

We lasted for 3 1/2 hours before we called it a day and headed for home.
(Yes, you read that right.  Three and a half hours and there were at least 50 floats to go!)

Yep, we totally know how to parade.
Reed and JR with Randi's (of Runnin' of the Green fame) boys.
