Some Normal

The weekend Hurricane Harvey hit Grandpa and Granny Buffie were going to take Kyle and Reed to Galveston for the weekend and take them to Schlitterbahn Galveston for their birthday present.

Obviously all that got canceled.

This weekend Granny Buffie invited her nephew's daughters, Kylie and Remey, to come stay with them as their parents tried to recover from the 3 feet of water that came in their house.

Kyle and Reed and Kylie and Remey are big buddies, so most of their time was spent at our house. We definitely had the prettiest little refugees you could ever have.

We were looking for something to do with the kids and we thought about Schlitterbahn.  Galveston fared really well during Harvey,  the freeway to Galveston was open, and Schlitterbahn was open.

Everyone is going stir crazy around here, so we loaded up JR's friends and took off for Galveston yesterday.

Grandpa treated us all to Schliterbahn, and the kids had a fantastic time. We pretty much had the park to ourselves.  They rode everything multiple times.

It was so nice to get out and be "normal" at Schlitterbahn. I'm so craving "normal", and so are the kids!

I'm sure there are many people in TX that will never see "normal" again. So sad, my prayers go out to them.
