Christmas

We had a very nice Christmas.

The tree and the stockings were all up.

Chloe was super excited that she got a fox for Christmas

And Kyle is already mastering one of his presents.

Last Minute Christmas Shopping

JR's friend Scout's mom (who is my friend) owns a store in our area.  JR went up to the store and spent the afternoon "modeling".  I have had so much fun this month seeing all their pictures on FB and Instagram.  Just when I think I've seen them all, another one would pop up and make me laugh.

The other "elf" is Scout's sister, and in my opinion, these are definitely the cutest models around.

(Yes, "rival" zip code cups exist.  And yes, I have the 055 ones.)

All the Christmas Parties

Jason and I were able to make it to all the Christmas parties we were invited to.
Each one was so much fun.

Our first party was JR's homecoming date's mom's company party.  She invited a bunch of the theater families so we were super excited to get an invite.  The DJ was a blast, and I even won the "highest heels" contest.  (Obvi.  Who could ever beat me?)

The drama mamas(plus Gina).

Our next party was in Midland. Jason had to be in Midland for a meeting, so I flew up so I could see Cassidy and we could go to their Christmas party.  It was a build and paint a Christmas sign party.

Cassidy is a master at working the photo filters

We flew home just in time to go to one of Jason's vendor's parties.  We forgot to take a picture, so this is us standing in our kitchen after we got home.

And finally we Jason's office Christmas party.  I took a picture in the car on the way there so we wouldn't forget a again.

All the Activites

All the kids were busy doing all the things this weekend.

JR was working and performing in a kids camp that the theater kids put on.  He performed both Friday and Saturday (the little kids were in the show Saturday with them) and I missed both performances since I was at a Christmas party Friday night and Kyle's diving meet Saturday.  But I did get some great pictures.

Kyle dove both Saturday and Sunday.  He went ahead and dove up in the 12-13 age group, and was only about 10 points away from qualifying for nationals, so that was a great gauge of how the season will go.  This is the only picture I took of him!

Then we ran over after Kyle's meet to catch Reed in the finals of his tennis tournament.  He played all day, and walked away the runner-up (they had to go to a tie-breaker, so it was super close!)

Sunday was more diving for Kyle, basketball practice for Reed, and girls dressed alike for the theater/choir Christmas party for JR.

Not Busy

It seems the only one around here who isn't busy is this one.

She was super mad at me for not taking her on the cruise and gave me the cold "paw" for about a week.

Luckily she got over her mad spell, and is back to normal.

She's even trying to help me take care of Sam the elf while he's here.

Back in It

Well, we are all out of vacation mode and back in the swing of things.

We had 2 choir concerts to attend, but luckily Reed and JR's were combined, so...two birds.

Kyle's concert was Thursday night and Jason and I had a Christmas party to attend that night.  So I was definitely way overdressed for a middle school choir concert.

There's Kyle on the front row wearing a Christmas light necklace (that I have no idea where he got).

Then Reed and JR's concert was Friday night.

Here's Reed on the front row and definitely the cutest one.

And JR with his big smile.

As soon as it was over JR took off running to go change clothes, so JR's sweet friend, Saya, had to settle for taking a picture with Reed.

And we ran in to Allison

JR and his friends

Then JR had a student directed 10 minute play that he was in on Saturday for his theatre final that I didn't even know about.  But one of the moms (that did know about it) sent me this picture, so at least I got that.

I know he played "a nerd", and I know his friend in the jeans was the director, but since I don't even know what play they did, I have no idea what anybody else's costume is.

(And yes, he really is that skinny.)

Thanksgiving and Cozumel

We were in Belize for Thanksgiving and we didn't even get off the boat.

But we did enjoy a "lovely" Thanksgiving fruit and veggie display.
Jason was very upset that the bodies of the turkeys are actual turkeys...look closely and you'll see.

Our black Friday was spent in Cozumel, and best I can come up with, I've been to Cozumel between 8-10 times....and it's always good for some photo-ops.

All the Wins

Never to be outdone, we walked off our cruise ship with what felt like all the wins.

Reed came home with a complete set of medals.

He took 3rd place in a field of at least 25 competitors (including adults) in what I call "cornhole with beanbags".

Then he and Jason took 2nd place in family mini golf (which, according to them, included a field of a "bunch of cheaterpants" ).

Reed then hooked up with the semi-professional bowler in the family to win 1st place in family "cornhole".  With Granny making the winning shot.

Life Lesson: take a bowler with you to a cornhole tournament.

I was able to win the family a set of Royal Carribean pens when I carried our entire team in Muppet Trivia.

My team of Maw-Maw, Kyle, and Reed only knew Miss Piggy and Kermit, while I was able to smoke the competition with 15/20 Muppets.  Our closest competitors could only name 12.

Animal on the screen behind Kyle.
Easy question for me, but my sad sack team had no idea who he was.

We also had our 3rd annual Ingersoll shuffleboard competition.
As you no doubt remember, Team Jason and Little Jason were undefeated.

But look who took home the championship this year!

And in the greatest win of all time...

Granny Sherry won bingo and brought home the real cash!
(And Reed won a $1 in a scratch off.)
