Reed had his first day of school on Monday. He says he likes all his classes.
I asked him to make sure he got a first day of school picture and I was excited that he actually listened to me!

It's only fitting that the youngest one was the last to leave the nest,
We started the morning with the Aggie War Hymn. Chloe was about as impressed as me.
Then Reed said goodbye to his favorite.
JR and Kyle both started school yesterday.
JR had orientation last week and facetimed us to show us how nice he looked.
This weekend was Kyle's Charleston move in.
The hardest part was saying goodbye to Chloe.
Jason and I are back in wedding season. After not going to any weddings for years, we are back in the swing of things as our friends' kids get married.
We had a very beautiful wedding in Houston last weekend for one of my sorority sister's daughters.
(I think we forgot we're not still 22).
I made Jason take photo booth photos too.
And here we are hanging out in front of a giant fan because we're at a wedding in Houston in August. You can literally see us sweating in the picture.
I never say never with JR, so I still don't believe this was final summer in Gulf Shores. This was his 4th summer, and they played this video of him on the big screen after his final set.
These have been such great summers for him!
We usually get to see wild animals, and this year was no exception.
We had hummingbirds on the front porch.
We spent less than a week in Breckenridge this summer. Chloe didn't get to go (which she was furious about) but we didn't do much of anything but relax.
Reed went to the top of the peak.
I started this blog on September 1, 2007. I've documented every single thing that's ever happened in Kyle and Reed's lives and everything since JR was 4.
Reed tells me all the time, "your blog used to be so funny. and now it's not funny anymore". And I have to say, "Well, y'all don't do funny things anymore."
As the kids have gotten older, I've definitely slowed down blogging, and I think it's time for it to come to an end. I'm telling you now so I can get you all prepared that my last blog will be September 1, 2026.
19 years was a pretty good run.
I'm glad I was able to document all the things. We can look back and see where we were, where we've been, and where we went.
And Jason, Chloe, and I are looking forward to this next season!
