JR hosted some friends down in Galveston on Thursday night. (Of course, "JR hosting" really means lots of cooking by Jason and setting out of snacks by me.)

Happy Easter!
Jason and I were able to make it out to the 34th annual family Easter party. We weren't able to stay long enough to see the traditional pinata and egg hunt, but we were able to eat (and eat and eat).
The Easter Bunny came and left everybody's favorites.
And, though Maw-Maw loves to tell that she's a member of the oldest Presbyterian church in Texas, we went to the oldest Baptist church in Texas for Easter service this morning.
(I forgot a hat, which I think is the first time in my life I've gone hatless on Easter!)

Junior Cotillion
While we were gone JR went to junior girls cotillion. He said he had lots of fun, and yes, we went ahead and bought the tuxedo since prom is next on the list of events.

Winning and a Wrong Right Answer
My other favorite thing about cruising (besides eating) is the trivia, specifically winning at trivia.
I thought we had a chance at movie theme song trivia, but we missed 2 (we didn't know Driving Miss Daisy or Kill Bill).
But there was never a doubt we wouldn't walk away the champions in 80's music Name That Tune.
Our perfect answer sheet and our big winnings- a key chain and a highlighter!
I'm actually still miffed about Friends trivia. Debbie and I were in the zone and had only missed 1/2 of a two-part question. (We couldn't remember that Bruce Willis' character was named Paul.)
But we wound up missing another one because we said Rachel, Chandler, and Joey ate the cheesecake off the floor. The official Royal Caribbean answer was "Rachel and Chandler". I, of course, YouTubed the scene when I got home and immediately texted Debbie that we were, in fact, right. Joey clearly starts eating the cheesecake in the last seconds of the episode.
So we were vindicated of our rightness, but definitely robbed of a key chain!

I'm home!
Where have I been? Well, I've been floating around on a cruise ship...and it was awesome!
This was the cruise we were supposed to take in March 2020 to celebrate our friend, Scott's birthday.... well, we all know how that turned out.
2 years later it was almost exactly back to normal. Yay!
We mainly just waddled ourselves from one food event to the next, so in the spirit of my favorite thing about cruising, here are our dinner looks...or as the young people say, our "lewks".
When we weren't eating, we did all the same things we always do.
The ports were the same
