 Reed came in 7th on Saturday in another hot race. Bless his heart. 

And they won 1st place for freshman as a team!

More Drag Queen than Top Model

 I've made way more mums than I ever thought I would, so now I'm way behind in the blogging department.  I've started turning down mum orders, so I'm pretty much done and have a chance to catch up. 

I was asked to walk in a fashion show for our school district last Friday.  They told us to "have fun with it", but I'm not sure they knew exactly what they were getting into when they gave me those directions.

Reed gave me strict instructions to not "embarrass the family". Good thing Reed's not the boss of me. 

I had a table of friends come to support me (of course I have no pictures) but I did get a picture with my husband who came to support me (but didn't recognize me) with so much make up! 

Last Week

 We've been busy around here this last week

We celebrated Grandpa Gary's 83rd birthday

The boys went to class and got their Hunters Ed certification

I've been making mums for friends

And Reed had the weekend off from racing, but I saw this cute picture of him this week so I'm posting it.

More Races

 Reed has had 2 more races these past two weekends (and we have this weekend off).  I never dreamed so many kids would want to get up so early and run so far!

The first weekend was out at my old alma matter where he finished 44th out of 134 kids with a time of 12:12 (for 2 miles).  He was very happy with his time!

This weekend was nice and overcast...right up until his race time. The sun came out and the Houston humidity was in full effect.  Though he wasn't as excited about this race, he still finished with a time of 12:43 and came in 38th out of 105 kids. 

You can just see how hot they are.

Labor Day

 It was nice to get a break on Labor Day since getting up at 5:30 every morning is about to kill some of us (and when I say some of us, I mainly mean, me).

Kyle and Reed did what they do best.

While Chloe watched out the window for them to come back. 

New Ride

 With the Golden Child away without his car, Chloe and I have taken over his wheels. 

It fits her perfectly, and she is loving all her extra rides.
