Fashion Fabulous Friday

Kyle came prancing into my bedroom at 6:50 AM to show me he was dressed and ready for pajama day.
Did I mention school doesn't start until 8:35?

The boys have been asking every day for 2 weeks if it was pajama day yet.
And finally, (cue hallelujah chorus) today arrived.
They got a huge kick out of taking off the pajamas they slept in to put on new pajamas.
And Perry (the platapus) got to go to school too.
Like I said, big day.

On Display

I was standing outside Kyle and Reed's classroom waiting for pick-up, when out of the corner of my eye I thought I noticed Reed's handwriting.

I did a double take, and yep, there was Reed's Very Hungry Caterpillar on the outside hallway bulletin board.

I was hoping maybe one of the butterflies was Kyle's, but as you can see, there aren't any solid pink ones.

5 Out of 5 Ingys Agree

JR was crazy excited when we were approached in the mall (the amazing Flatirons Mall) and asked if he'd like to do a taste test.
He was even more excited when they told him they'd pay him five bucks.

Then they told him it was a juice taste test.

His face immediately dropped.
(Juice is one of the things on his 'there's absolutely no good reason not to eat or drink it, but I still won't touch it' list.)
But, with five bucks hanging over his head, and the excitement of being in a taste test, he agreed to participate.

They put JR and me in a secluded room.
Kyle and Reed were not pleased they didn't get to go in.

He had to eat a cracker, test juice #1, and take a sip of water.
Then repeat for juice #2.
Very scientific.

He gave his report:
He liked juice #1 because it "tasted better and was sweeter",
and walked away with his $5.00 check!

They let us all taste the juices after it was over, and everyone agreed: juice #1

Cubby and Cozy

When Kyle and Reed were in the NICU, the nurses told me they'd "catch-up" by the time they were six months old.
Four years later, they're still tiny.

But tiny can be good.

Especially when you're doing gymnastics.
Or feeling the need to get inside your gymnastics shoe cubby.

Yay For Mamas

These little (semi) smiling faces did an awesome job to make it a great mother's day around these parts.

After church we went and carbo loaded ourselves down at Buca di Beppo.
The kids appreciated the giant spoons.

And though I tried to remain civilized, I felt the exact same way as these two when I saw dessert coming toward the table.

My mother's day gift was just what I wanted.
Isn't it cute?

This bike serves a dual purpose in that it makes sure I can keep up with the kids going to school, but lets all the Coloradoans know that I, in fact, do not "ride".

Happy Mother's Day to my own awesomely hilarious mom and my super stylish mother-in-law.

And to all us moms...Yay us!

Pictures With People!

So turns out, Granny Sherry took some cruise pictures too.
Pictures with actual people, and not just towel animals!

Fun on the boat

Fun in front of the boat

Even though JR's doing his famous "the sun is shinning on me so it's impossible for me not to do a hideous scrunch face" face, these flipper feet still crack me up.

Granny Sherry's wearing a sun hat!
I couldn't be prouder.

JR trying to convince somebody to let him drive.
And I'll bet a million dollars that's Sherry's Diet Coke in the back seat.
