Reed finished up cross country season this week and finished every race in the top 20, coming in 13th at the district meet. He had some great runs with his fastest time in the mile at 6.21 and his fastest mile and 1/2 in 9.25.65.

Fish in a Fish
While we were doing prom, Kyle and Reed went to the farm to fish. I believe lots of "medium" sized fish were caught, but Reed caught a big 4 pounder.
And even crazier, it had eaten a blue gill, which Reed could see...and of course, took a picture.

Pre Prom
Saturday night was prom. JR's had so many formal events these last few weeks, it didn't seem to be that big of a deal.
The kids came over and had dinner at our house, It was very fancy food...Faitja Petes, but I did decorate the table and put out the good china.
I also made the nosegay, I'm going to be an absolute pro by the time Kyle and Reed are seniors!
I was smart enough to get pictures with JR before his friends showed up...can't compete with those young girls for sure!
We look nothing alike.
And Chloe wore her prom dress, of course.

Amazing Grace Part 2
For my dad's birthday (about a month ago, but I just got the video) JR went up and sang "Amazing Grace" with Paw-Paw.
They played the video of them singing "Amazing Grace" together 9 years ago...which is what they (the entire church) are discussing when the video starts. That, and JR's hair.
And since I have documented everything, you can review that little performance right here.
And here's what I have of their new 2022 performance.

Worn Out
JR hosted some friends down in Galveston on Thursday night. (Of course, "JR hosting" really means lots of cooking by Jason and setting out of snacks by me.)

Happy Easter!
Jason and I were able to make it out to the 34th annual family Easter party. We weren't able to stay long enough to see the traditional pinata and egg hunt, but we were able to eat (and eat and eat).
The Easter Bunny came and left everybody's favorites.
And, though Maw-Maw loves to tell that she's a member of the oldest Presbyterian church in Texas, we went to the oldest Baptist church in Texas for Easter service this morning.
(I forgot a hat, which I think is the first time in my life I've gone hatless on Easter!)
