Last Day of School

 Thursday was the last day of school.  Except that Kyle and Reed both figured out how to take their last final early, so their last day of school was Wednesday.

And Chloe's last day of school too (since she gets to ride every morning). 

I didn't get a last day of school photo of JR as he left the house Thursday morning in a tizzy as he had both his Pre Cal and Physics final.  And I didn't get one of him after school as we were rushing to get to the airport for our Vegas trip!

So I guess, we'll have to use this picture of us having dinner Thursday evening at the Vegas Wahlburgers as his last day of school picture.

 Cheers to no masks next year!

Presidential Pants

 JR was named best junior at their theatre awards this past weekend.  

He was also announced as the theatre vice president for next year.  

(It's a tradition to wear your pajamas so that's why he has on the crazy looking pants.)

Fancy Pants Alumni

When you're a fancy pants alumni you get the fancy pants seats at baseball games.

Yep, that's row 1 they're in. 

They also did all the other things you have to do when you're in College Station.  Like a trip to The Chicken and a chicken finger lunch. 

Smarty Pants

 Reed got inducted into NJHS and made the all-A honor roll for the year.  They had a ridiculous zoom ceremony for NJHS and the parents weren't allowed to go to the awards assembly, which was during the school day.

Step Up

 So our master craftsman has made the perfect gift in woodshop for anybody in our family that is me or has my genes. 

A step stool for all the things I can't reach (which is anything above the first shelf). 

He even painted it red, white, and blue!

Happy Anniversary JR

 Today is JR's 1 year work anniversary.  That's a lot of days and nights coming home with sticky shoes and food colored stained shorts. 

And yes, he actually has 3 different work shirts and a different hat, but I don't have any pictures of him in those.

 Look who got themselves a two page spread in the yearbook.

I also had a friend send me this one, where he wound up in the Varsity football scrapbook. 

My Day

 Mother's Day was great! I was showered with presents, we got to serve ourselves at the racquet club buffet,  I got to take a very long nap, and we ended the day with Blizzards.  It was perfect! 

All my children, even though my favorite "child" refuses to look at the camera.

 JR had 4 shows this weekend, and they went as good as could be expected.  It wasn't my favorite show he's ever done, but JR did a great job and I've got some cute pictures to show for it.

 For all of you looking for some real "excitement" in your life, I thought I'd give you a sneak peek in to our family group text. 

Most of the time it's the kids sending us TikToks that remind them of us:

Because our house is always hot because Jason won't let us turn down the air-conditioner.

And I'd like to know what mom has actually acted calmly in this situation. (Obviously, I do not.) 

There's also a lot of  the kids making fun of each other

Recently they've started a "mom loves me best" movement.

And no, I did not get my child a Starbucks, nor did I give my 13 year old a mimosa!
