We've Already Had Foot Massages

We dropped Kyle and Reed off at Camp Olympia yesterday so it's just me and Chloe (and Jason) here at the homestead.

Reed didn't want the tooth fairy to have to make a trip to camp, so he wiggled out a tooth Saturday night...so practical of him.

I not only decorated the car this time, but Kyle and Reed too.  All of it looked awesome.

We didn't see JR when we were dropping off, but I think I (I mean JR) might have won the car decorating contest, and I also think he was camper of the day (for the whole camp, which is a big deal).  I might be wrong on both of those things, and since JR doesn't write me, I'll have to wait 2 weeks to find out (unless Reed or Kyle happen to write me about it).

I'd say they are quite happy with their cabin.

If you're wondering what Jason and I are doing with our free time, well, after I napped yesterday afternoon we went and had foot massages and, of course, we're eating out every meal.

Chloe Fabulous Friday: By Chloe

Here I am enjoying my new toy, my toothbrush I took from Mrs. Caroline's bag. I knew it was a present for me so I didn't wait for her to give it to me, I just took it.

I also enjoy showing off my big, fluffy paws.

And I still love to give "kisses"...

And get cuddles.

But sometimes, I really need a cuddle break.

Cheers for the Team Plus 1 More

We took our little family of 4 to the Astros game last night.

The Astros were playing the Angels, and Reed really loves Mike Trout because he watches him on Youtube.

So Reed wore his Mike Trout jersey and his Astros hat saying that he was going to "root for Mike Trout and all the Astros".

But that was easier said than done when Mike Trout robbed Jose Altuve (Reed's very favorite Astro) of a homerun.  He wasn't exactly sure how to react.

We had a fun time eventhough the Astros were loosing the whole time we were there...but then they wound up winning.

JR Drop Off

We dropped JR off at Camp Olympia for 3 weeks on Sunday.

I'm not allowed to decorate the car windows anymore because there are teeny, tiny specks left over from last year that won't come off. So shoe polishing car windows has been banded for life in our house because, well, we live with Jason.

Which meant I really had to improvise.
The theme this summer is "Capture the Memories" so that's a camera I made that JR is holding.

Kyle and Reed were furious that we weren't dropping them off as well.  I think 3 weeks would just be too long for Reed (who insists that it wouldn't be) and the 2 weeks they'll start this coming Sunday will be plenty.

All the returning counselors were super excited to see all the Ingersolls, and even brought Kyle and Reed in the chow hall to see that their talent show picture from last year was on the wall.

JR couldn't have rushed us out of his cabin any faster.
He was thrilled to be there.

And is obviously already having fun.

Happy Father's Day...Just in Time

I know I'm late, but it's been a busy day dropping JR off at camp.

Happy Father's Day to our 3 favorite and most awesomely fun dads!

Some you can hunt with, some you can play ball with, and some you decorate and sing with...what more could you ask for?!

He's Home

Kyle finally decided he'd come home from Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw's

His activities ranged for snowcone eating

to bull riding.

But I think he enjoyed his almost daily trips to play the claw machine the most.

Another Flag Day Older

Yes, yesterday was Flag Day.

Kyle texted me this picture to celebrate.
Of course it also included something about a birthday too.

And then we celebrated Flag Day last night with the kids that are home.

Fashion Fabulous Friday

As the kids have gotten older the fashions have gotten less and less fabulous.

But I've had these 2 pictures on my phone for awhile just screaming to bring back the fabulousness.

Like an Only

Reed and I have been doing lots of hanging out this week.
Kyle is at MawMaw and PawPaw's and JR is at an all day theater camp.

Reed is perfectly happy to just entertain himself at home, though he did request sushi for lunch the other day.

And I especially love that taking it easy is always on the agenda.

I Could Still Use a Good Nap

Kelly and Caroline came down from Dallas this weekend.

We mainly just sat around my kitchen table and talked (until the wee hours of the morning, which is why I still need a nap) but we also found time to:

Relive our youth at 90's adult skate night.
(Shelley and Kelly)

Go get "beat up" by the Chinese foot massage ladies.  (My back is still sore).

And have some fancy meals.

As Kelly put it, we had as much fun as if we'd gone to a destination.

Yay for long time fun friendships!

All Star

Reed was selected for the All Star team and the game was last night.
They asked JR to commentate, but he wound up doing his DJ gig too.

The rain here has been ridiculous, so they decided to just delay the game an hour while they tried to clear the fields as much as possible.  So JR jumped into DJ mode and played music and interviewed kids for an hour.

Here he is interviewing.  Notice Kyle is very busy with his Chic Fil A the whole entire time.

JR also announced the players as they ran onto the field.  I was standing back by JR (to help him) so there was no way I could get up to see Reed run on fast enough.

Here's his All Star team
Reed is friends with all the Red Socks from school and then the 2 kids in purple were on Kyle's basketball team, so we knew all but 3 kids on the team!

Reed hit 3 for 3, made an out while playing 2nd base, and they won the game 16-12.

So it was a super fun night, even though it looked like this!

D.O.N.E.

We finally finished the marathon of the last days of school.
Even Reed, who loves school, was glad it was finished.

It was crazy hair day and Kyle begged to do it.
I told him no.
Then he begged some more and I flat out told him I had "no more participation left in me".

I think all the other parents felt the same way because there were about 5 kids in the whole 2nd grade that had crazy hair.

Kyle's not even in this picture, and I didn't bother to take one of him with his friends...because I'm done.

I'm not sure why JR's arms look a million miles long.

Modeling Part 2

Looks like Kyle has won the title for Camp Olympia model of the year.

Though even less exciting than brochure cover or newsletter, JR did spot him on their Instagram page.
