Kyle's job seems to include more than I assumed it would.
Of course he's bussing tables.
But his job description also seems to include petting all the dogs that come in to sit on the patio.
And hanging out with Spiderman.
Chloe is staying busy in Colorado.
She made herself the center of attention in the center of town.
And her favorite, enjoyed some cold mountain water.
These chipmunks are driving Chloe crazy.
We used to go each summer and feed the chipmunks. They would eat out of our hands, and it was awesome. But, like everything fun, they put a stop to it by putting up barriers so you can't get down to the chipmunks to feed them.
So I decided to open up my own chipmunk buffet at my house.
And let me tell you, they are happy I'm open for business.
When I started I would only have to refill their bowl every few days. Now these little piggies are cleaning out a bowl in an hour.
And they're rude about it too! When they're finished they throw their bowl over (Chloe does the same when her bowl at home is empty).
I guess I've attracted the squirrels too because we had a very serious Chloe vs squirrel situation the other day. All I could think about was Christmas Vacation and this squirrel flying right into my face.
After this video she climbed up the hot tub stairs in an effort to leap off the porch and into the tree.
I've run out of sunflower seeds so I'm now feeding everybody leftover crackers. We'll see if those work or if I'm going to have to go buy more seeds.
I'm still keeping up with this one on insta.
But he did send me a pic with the guitarist from our favorite cover band!
Reed didn't go to Colorado this year because he wanted to go to running camp in North Carolina.
Being a man of few words, I got one text from Reed while he was at camp, and it was this picture.
Because a mama bear and her babies is exactly what you hope your child is encountering on their trail runs!
We also got this picture on the last day of camp when they gained a measly 1,000 ft elevation on their run.
These are all the kids that went from their team together. I got this picture from the cross country parent group.
If you think Kyle's been spending his time in Colorado hiking and fly fishing...well, you'd be right.
Chloe has been on a mission to find the prettiest flowering pots in all of Breckenridge.
She's definitely off to a good start!
Jason and Kyle went fly fishing and had a very successful trip on the Antero Reservoir.
They caught about 15 rainbow trout and 5 brown trout, and they just happen to catch these at the same time so they could get a picture. Apparently, Kyle's brown trout is "a monster".
(All the fish got thrown back.)
And if the "excitement" of fishing wasn't enough, they even saw a herd of elk on their way.
Chloe has made it to Colorado.
The drive was fairly easy, and even included lunch at The Big Texan.
On arrival, she immediately started practicing her mountain goating.
And she's already ridden the gondola and enjoyed a mountain view brunch.
So here are the promised tubing videos. I've edited out the boring parts and divided them up into categories for your viewing pleasure.
Here is the video of them falling off.
Here is the video where you think they are going to fall off, but they somehow stay on.
Here is the video of Kyle doing tricks on the tube.
And here's Granny Sherry!
