Jason and I snuck off to Galveston for a few days, and when I say "snuck" I mean, we asked the kids if they wanted to come with us...and they said no.

I think we are about done with track season.
Last week Reed got 1st in pole vault, 3rd in the 3600, and 6th in the 1600.
He definitely makes pole vaulting look easy (which I know it's not)
I think I forgot to mention that Jason and I actually bought a steer at Kyle's FFA auction. I had no idea Jason was planning on buying an animal or I would have worn a cuter outfit! In fact, the first I heard of us buying anything was when I started hearing our name called out by the auctioneer. We just our buyer plaque this week, so here we are with our purchase.
And when your friends buy your kid's pig and ask you to be in the picture with them, you get in the picture with them. So we're actually in Kyle's buyer plaque too!
And speaking of animals. They had 2 new baby sheep and a baby goat born at the ag barn. Just look how precious this little baby goat is. I'm so glad Kyle sent this video of him petting it so I could see it. It looks like a puppy!
Since Jason and I didn't ski, I had to rely on these two for pictures. And I actually got 2, which is more than I was expecting since I didn't specifically ask for any.
They also skied with a friend at Keystone one day, so I got this one.
None of their ski clothes fit them this year, but thankfully we had JR's stuff in the closet. And speaking of JR, he had a great time in Destin (where he thankfully stayed out of trouble!)
Jason and I didn't ski this year, but we did go snowmobiling, which we haven't done in years!
Jason acting like he's fine
We made it home from spring break in time to finish up the rodeo with Luke Bryan. He said last night he's performed at the rodeo 10 times. Here's what you look like when you're pretty sure you've seen him at least 5 or 6 of those times.
It snowed quite a bit while we were in Colorado, here's what the porch looked like on different days.
And if you're wondering what a fox would look like with a rat's tail, here it is. We think this guy (or gal) is living across the way as we saw him almost every day. We have no idea what's going on with his tail, but he sure is a sight.
And finally, here's what you look like when you're upset you don't get to go out to lunch everyday like you do in the summer because it's still too cold for outdoor seating.
We are on spring break, but that doesn't mean Reed takes a break from running.
He took this picture yesterday morning and posted it on his running app. I couldn't believe how amazing it was. The altitude might be doing a number on his time, but I think the view is worth it!
We've had 2 more rodeos this rodeo season.
Jason and I went to see another Jason, Jason Aldean
In between all the rodeoing we've been able to fit in 2 track meets.
Reed placed 1st in pole vault in both meets.
We had about a million things on the calendar for Saturday. Kyle and Reed had their first day of umpiring. They did 2 games in the morning, which I forgot to take a picture of them so all I have is Reed in the back of the car on the way to the rodeo. Kyle was already changing clothes.
When we got there the boys took off to ride rides. Jason and I happily did not ride rides.
This article was in our community magazine this month. It was fun to be flipping through and see him!
It's rodeo time and we've been hitting it up hard and heavy.
I guess you can call the BBQ cookoff pre-rodeo since it isn't exactly the rodeo. We missed last year, so we were happy to be back. We literally can only handle 1 night once a year.
