The Injury

Obviously we couldn't have a family vacation without a trip to the clinic/nurse/first aid station, now could we?

Day 2 of the cruise I thought the world had come to an end when JR came bursting in to our room with dramatics I hadn't seen the likes of in at least, well, a week or so.

While getting ready for dinner, JR reached down and grabbed Granny Sherry's curling iron.
I know, I'm not sure how he lived through it.

The rest of the family went on to dinner as planned, but Granny was nice enough to escort JR down to the nurse. It was taking them so long to get back from the nurse that we were pretty sure JR might have been airlifted off the boat.

Luckily they were able to save his hand, and he was even able to join us for dinner.

Like this.

He got to wear his bandages until the next day, when he got to go visit with the nurse again for a check-up...where she told him he was going to be just fine.

Whew.
