Weekend Warriors

The boys went hunting this past weekend and had a great time (on a side note, Chloe and I stayed home and also had a great time)!

They were all smiles when they got home from a successful weekend.

I don't know the names of these animals, but the dog sure is cute!

Here's the Scoop

(FYI, I think my title is actually really funny.)

The way Reed's schedule worked his senior year he wasn't able to have a designated track class, so he was going to have to do all the track workouts by himself.  He decided he just couldn't endure that, so he got a job instead.

He's been serving up ice cream all spring and summer. And since his summer is winding down, so is his time scooping it up.

Isn't she the cutest little customer ever?!

I'm Doing the Best I Can

I really am very excited for Reed to go to A&M.  I even went to the first Houston mom's meeting.

But I just can't make myself do the cheers.

Or the thumbs up.

As seen here, where I'm holding on to my purse for dear life.

Reed was Fine

You might have noticed Reed wasn't in any of the 4th of July or Vegas pictures.  That's because he was invited to Cabo with a friend, and the way the trips worked, he was flying home while we were flying out.

But as you can see from the pictures, Reed didn't miss out on any good times.

Kenny #3

After we got home from Gulf Shores we had 3 days to rest up before we went to Vegas.  JR and I wanted to go see Kenny Chesney at The Sphere last summer and couldn't make it work.  This year we were able to go for his final show!

I did a really terrible job of taking pictures.  We actually did lots of fun things, but these are the only pictures I have.

Debbie and me

Kyle and his "wolfpack"

And me with my favorite 90's heartthrobs.

JR and I did a better job of taking pictures.  This was our 3rd time to see Kenny together and it was an amazing show!

At Least I Went on the Trip

We got home Wednesday from Deer Valley, and we were leaving Thursday to go see JR in Gulf Shores.  I wasn't sure if I was going to go or not, but I didn't want to miss seeing JR, and it's hard to stay home for the 4th of July.

I didn't feel great, but I made the trip and I was happy I went.

The actual 4th of July was the first day I didn't have to take pain meds!

I Ruined the Trip

I haven't been blogging because not only have I not been home, but I've also been down and out. We got home from Charleston on Saturday and Jason and I were leaving Monday for Deer Valley (for a work thing for Jason).  On Sunday I noticed my teeth were hurting, but figured I'd clinched my jaw too tightly while I was asleep.  On the plane I started to really notice the pain, and by the time we landed in Salt Lake I was making Jason pull over to buy pain meds.

Here's the only picture we took in Deer Valley, and it was on the way in to the hotel.

After wanting to rip my teeth out of my head all Monday night, I was up Tuesday morning calling the emergency dentist as soon as they opened at 7 am.

So here's the other picture I have of Deer Valley.

And if you're wondering what you're looking at....that would be a failed root canal on tooth 19 that's under a bridge.

(And yes, I'm still dealing with it.  It's still not fixed.)

Silver

Jason and I celebrated our silver anniversary this year.  We've been so busy we didn't do much of anything on our actual big day.  Reed was in Galveston with his friends, so Jason, Kyle, and I went and ate Mexican Food.

Here's what we looked like in Steamboat.

We thought it was funny to take a selfie with all the locals doing yoga with their legs up in the air.

Orientantions

Both the boys have been oriented.

Reed told me not to come to Aggie orientation, and he went by himself.  I'm pretty sure he was the only kid there without a parent!

One of his friend's mom sent me a picture of them and I said, "please know he told me not to come!" She replied, "Yes, he said he was alone by choice."

In complete opposite of Reed's, both Jason and I went to Kyle's orientation.  We did all the college things.

And the touristy things too.

Here we are the South Carolina aquarium

after our horse-drawn carriage ghost tour

Steamboat

For some reason Jason and I have a super busy summer.  We usually don't have so many plans.  Over Father's Day weekend we had a wedding to go to in Steamboat.  We'd never been to Steamboat, and we were surprised how big of a town it is.

The wedding was unbelievable, and I'm pretty sure it's the nicest one I'll ever go to.

Vacation Celebration

We went to the British Virgin Islands to celebrate everybody in the family.  The kids were celebrated for all graduating, and Jason and I were celebrated for our upcoming 25th anniversary.  It was a very cool vacation, and the kids all agreed it was the best trip we've ever been on.

Not 23

I had a birthday too, but I didn't turn 23.  I had a couple of different friend group dinners to celebrate, but we didn't take any pictures.  I did go to my cousin's birthday party the day before my birthday, and I have a picture from that, so we'll count that as the birthday picture.

23

JR had a birthday and we celebrated in St. Thomas.

The last time we were in St. Thomas JR looked liked this.

I was so upset the parrot lady wasn't there because I soooo wanted to recreate that picture.

He had to settle for a peanut butter cup martini instead.

I'm Behind!

 I know, I know.

I'm so behind.

I don't really have that much to write about, I just can't seem to get caught up on life to blog.

We are back from vacation, and I will catch up!

We look like this in case you forgot what we look like.

They Graduated!

After all the events, we finally made it to graduation.

Reed got to tell everybody the rules.
JR asked if Reed got to make up the rules...which would have been even better!

And they graduated.

And then everybody in the family had their pictures made with them.
