Super Saturday

Reed was quite busy on Saturday.

He started off in the morning at a basketball game.  Reed and Pierce are on the same team this season, and I'm glad they had on a different color undershirts because it's hard to tell them apart!

Reed scored a basket, stole a ball from a kid not paying enough attention (which really cracked me up), and they won.

Then he was off to play in a tennis tournament.

He won all 3 of his matches and made it to the finals (which were on Sunday)

After all the basketball and tennis, he went on to play more tennis and play doubles (with a new partner, Gus).

They were playing kids 2 years older, so they really had their work cut out for them.  But, one of the moms told me her son said "Oh great, time to get beat by 10 year olds" when it was his turn to play them.  (He did not get beat by the 10 year olds, BTW.)

3rd place doubles

Sunday was the championship and Reed had to play his usual doubles partner, Eric.

Reed played well but had to settle for runner-up.

He really played hard this weekend!

Concert and a Party

JR had his choir Christmas concert on Friday night.  Jason and I didn't go because we had a Christmas party to attend, but Maw-Maw, Paw-Paw, and Granny Sherry were there.

Granny Sherry sent me this picture.

And Jason and I took 1 picture of ourselves too.

I Guess She Needs a Vacay

Chloe's current mood.

Christmas Party

Jason and I got to host his company's Christmas party this year.

I snapped a few pictures before it started, but with 88 people here (and the last group of people leaving at 2:15 AM) I didn't get any during the party.

We got a foot of rain Friday evening through Saturday morning.  Luckily it stopped and didn't rain for the party. We had a tent for the backyard and it looked really nice.

We had a buffet in the dinning room, and sushi chefs making sushi in the kitchen. It was super yummy and fun!

I also had Cassidy.  I love it when work life and friend life intersect.

And Jason was beyond thrilled when the photographer decided to use our own wall instead of a backdrop for the souvenir photos.

Field Trip Fiasco

So here's the field trip I was on when Kyle busted his eyebrow open.

I was so enjoying hearing JR's choir sing around town since I'm going to miss his Christmas choir concert because of a Christmas party.

On a side note, I think I have a field trip phobia now!

Slow Down

Everything has been crazy here.
This weekend was supposed to be even more crazy.

Nothing to slow you down like a kid (who is home "sick") falling on the stairs while you're on a field trip with another kid and face timing you with blood running down his face.

Poor Kyle had to wait until Jason could get to him, and I could find somebody to rescue me from my field trip.

He was supposed to qualify for Nationals at his diving meet this weekend.  Now he's not even allowed to compete.

3 stiches later I now have 3 kids who all have eyebrow scars.
