Where did the Week Go?

I don't even know where the week went.  We are definitely meeting ourselves coming and going.

And in what might be the saddest thing I've ever seen, Reed made a whole video about me making hot Cheetos chicken.  He found the recipe and begged me to make it.

And that he says it's the "best thing he's ever tasted", just goes to show exactly how super low their standards are when it comes to my cooking!

Rocky

None of us really ever thought we'd have an Ivy Leaguer among us, but we can now add that to the list.

Jason is doing an executive education program at Wharton, so he's been doing some commuting back and forth to Philadelphia.

He hasn't been able to do much site-seeing, but this trip he was finally able to get out and see the Rocky statue.

I'm pretty sure Jason's trying to show off their matching abs here.

Take it Back

This bunch went to the Astros game last night.
They said they had lots of fun.

Chloe and I stayed on the couch at home, which for both of us, was just as much fun!

Impressive

It's pretty impressive to land a standing back flip while being hit by a flying shammy.

On the other hand, it's also pretty impressive how badly this dive failed.

HOCO Date

So were you able to guess JR's homecoming date from the cast photo?

Did you pick this one?

Oh by the way, she's a senior. (JR's a sophomore.)

The two of them have so much fun being in shows together, and they are going with a group of theater kids.

He went over and did the formal "ask" on Monday night. Gina is a big Disney fan so we went with that theme.  (Peter Pan is her favorite movie.)
They had quite the audience for the big "ask" since JR was bringing our neighbor, Peyton, home so she rode along and took the pictures, and then Gina was driven home by Sid, who as you will see, put himself in to the mix.

And another

I know they will have lots of fun!

A Big Cut

I always think Chloe looks even more beautiful when she has long hair, so I let her go as long as possible before getting groomed.

Unfortunately for Chloe, I called what seemed like every groomer in the city of Houston and couldn't get her in for a month.

So when you're about a month over do for a haircut, and then you have to wait another month on top of that, it gets pretty serious.

We even made some bold fashion choices to help her look her best.

She's quite pleased with her new haircut, as you can see from her "I'll sit anywhere I like" attitude.

And Yet Another Birthday

After the big 80th birthday party, I had more decorating to do Sunday morning when a friend turned 50.
I've never "flamingoed" a yard before, but it sure turned out cute!
