Girl's Week #2

I just finished hosting my second group of girlfriends.

It was another fun 5 days, and I may never come home.

Rainbows

I had almost forgotten how beautiful and how common rainbows were when we lived in Durango.  Seems like we'd see one almost every day during the summer.

This double rainbow we saw on Main Street the other night was definitely a million dollar dinner view.

Chloe's Breckenridge #2

Chloe has been having a blast with all the girls.  She still loves to hike, but her absolute favorite thing is getting to go lunch.

She prefers sitting under the table than sitting at the table.  Not only is it nice and shady, but lunch "treats" seem to make their way down their quite a bit.

Girl's Week #1

I just finished up hosting girl's week #1.  I had a combination of 5 friends in and out since last Sunday.

We hiked, shopped, ate, and laughed...with the eating and the laughing being the main activities.

My next set of girlfriends arrive today!

Chloe's Breckenridge

Chloe has turned in to a full mountain dog, and is upset all of her pictures haven't been featured.

She enjoys posing with me.

And with Jason

She is not a fan of the gondola.

But she's a big fan of walks downtown that include ice cream stops.

Breckenridge #3

Jason and I went paddle boarding on Lake Dillon and we were both petrified of falling in the water since, as Jason likes to say, "the water was snow 10 minutes ago".

Jason didn't fall in, but I fell in twice.  It actually wasn't as cold as I thought it was going to be...even though Jason says I had a look of sheer panic on my face when I came up.  (Not only do I not have any pictures of my panic face, but I don't have any pictures of us at all.)

We also took the gondola up to walk around the ski resort.

We met this guy up there.

And Chloe wanted her picture with him too.

Right after this picture was taken she took off running after a squirrel.

Breckenridge #2

Jason and I continued to huff and puff our way through the wilderness of Colorado.
And when I say "wilderness" I mean on clearly marked and well-maintained trails.

We walked around Shock Hill Loop

where Chloe thinks she might have seen a fox.

On our way down we stopped to take a picture where you can see both the gondola and our house in the background.

Today we did the Lower Cataract Loop Trail.

Jason channeled his best Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing log walk.

And Chloe channeled her inner mountain goat.
