Reed Goes to Boston

 I flew up last week and met Reed in Boston so he could specifically tour Babson College.  As luck would have it, our friend Scott went there, so he flew in to meet us and tour us all over Boston.

There are 36 colleges in Boston, but we only saw 4 of them.

We started with the big one, Harvard.

We specifically walked over to the law school so I could talk about Ben Shapiro, and when I saw the lawn I couldn't help myself and had to quote Legally Blonde.

 "Hi. I'm Elle Woods and this is Bruiser Woods. and we're both Gemini vegetarians."

Next we hit up MIT. 

And yes, Reed's wearing a Harvard shirt on the MIT campus.

We did the full tour and information session at Babson.  Scott got special recognition as an alumnus and Reed loved hearing about the classes.  Scott pointed out all his old stomping grounds and told all his fun college stories. 

 Babson is home to the 2nd largest rotating globe in the world.

We also saw Boston College which made me feel like I was touring churches in Europe.  Reed was most interested in the drive from Babson to BC being along the marathon route, and BC being right past Heartbreak Hill. 

And yes, Reed is wearing a Babson shirt on the Boston College campus.

Reed Goes to New York

 Reed was home for 1 day from Colorado before he left for New York.  He went with Kenny and his family for a week and had the best time.  

They saw all the things they wanted to see in NYC.  Including a tour of Colombia. 

Then they went to Ithaca, and stayed on the lake and did all the outdoorsy things Reed loves to do.

They also toured Cornell while they were in Ithica, and since I have to relate everything to a TV show, I kept thinking of the quote from The Office when Dwight asks Andy the capital of Maine and Andy says,

 "The capital of Maine is Montpelier, Vermont, which is near Ithaca, New York where I went to Cornell."

This is the only picture I got of Cornell, but Reed really liked it. 

A New JR Update

 My favorite band came again and JR took a selfie for me.

I love when they play because there's always videos to find of JR (or them mentioning JR)

JR says the softball teams are his favorite because they always participate and have fun.

And then Steven and his family came to visit JR.  They have certainly grown up!

It was fun to get this video from them the other night.

Running Camp #2

 Reed spent his second week in Colorado in Keystone at a trail running camp he did last year.  He knew how hard it was going to be and wanted to go back.   They did super fun things like a 12 mile run with the first 6 miles up hill. 

He came home covered in scratches.  You can clearly see one of them here.

I wanted to include this one so he can look back one day and see just how skinny he was!

First One

 Well....the first college acceptance has arrived. 

Wild Animals

 Here's all the wild animals we saw in Colorado. (Some more impressive than others)

I was actually shocked at how big this ground hog was! 

I thought they were a lot smaller.  

And the foxes are very cute, as long as they are a safe distance from me and Chloe is nowhere around!

Mountain Goat Hike

 We did the Moutain Goat Hike (named because we saw some mountain goats there many years back and we don't know the name of the actual trail).  

Jason and I went up higher than we've ever gone before, and Reed went even higher. 

Reed got some amazing pictures from up high.

Jason and I made it up to the snow line.

And Chloe was ready for a cold mountain water bath after leading the way the whole time!
