JR Saw JD

JR went to the Turning Point event last night.  He had tickets to go before Charlie was murdered, and I'm so glad they didn't cancel.  Both Erika Kirk and our future president spoke.

JR lined up at 11:00 and they let them in at 3:00 (the event started at 6:00)

He's with his friend Kaylee and she had a quote in the newspaper.

JR said even getting in line at 11:00 they were one of the last people to get a seat on the floor.

What an honor to get to go!

And he even made Fox News

Megyn Kelly

My girlfriends and I went to see Megyn Kelly on Thursday.  It was very similar to the Gutfeld show, but I have to give it to Gutfeld, I think his was just a bit better.  It took forever to get in because Don Jr. was one of her guests, so we all had to go through secret service security.  I don't even own a purse small enough that was allowed, so I had my phone in one pocket and my car key in another.

She came out to Kid Rock, so I was impressed right from the start.

She looked gorgeous.  We looked it up and she's wearing a $5,000 Oscar De La Renta dress.

First she interviewed Jesse Kelly and he was really good.

Then she brought out Don Jr. Here's his intro (it's in 2 parts because it was too long to upload as one)

Don Jr. wasn't what I was expecting.  He actually reminded me of JR.  He talks really loud, he's very animated and he does his impression of Trump every time he's telling a story about him.

It was a fun night!

2 Picture Trip

We went up to Oxford to see JR this weekend.  It's always a fun time in Oxford, which is why I guess I don't have any pictures.

The Official Last One

I started tearing up when we arrived in Huntsville, and Jason started laughing at me.  We knew this would be Reed's last cross country meet (ever) and it was bittersweet.

They had a nice send off to regionals.

Jason and I enjoyed watching him race one last time.  We laughed about how cross country is the easiest sport for parents, and talked about how amazing it was he never got sick or injured in 4 years. It was good chapter.

Reed said "Tough conditions. Tough race."

He placed 38th out of 184 of the best runners in the region, not bad.

Reed's Instagram posts made me cry again.

These "boys" running yesterday

Were these little guys freshman year!

We've had a great time watching Reed run far...and fast!

Chloe in the News

During the summer one of my friend's daughters reached out to me to do an article on Chloe.  She had an internship at one of the local magazines and obviously she knew who had the most beautiful dog in all the land.

I had actually forgotten about it until someone sent it to me.  So, here's Chloe's in-print debut.

Not the Only Winner

Reed isn't the only athletic winner in the family, guess who else won something?

That's right, me!

Ok, so it's not nearly as exciting as running far really fast, but I won 1st place and I won some cool prizes.  I did all the different work out classes that the club has to offer in the month of September.  I had to go to water aerobics and the senior citizen class, but worst of all, I had to take 3 different yoga classes!

Here we are getting interviewed.

And you can watch it on Instagram here (it's too long to post)

Last District

Reed ran his last cross country district meet last week.  It was a little sad because we really enjoy watching him run (fast).

Here's a video of the day that one of the kids on the team put together.

He finished 4th in the district with a time of 16:20

The team was a little disappointed because they thought they had a really good shot at winning district (they haven't won in over 20 years) but they came up a little short.

They run at regionals next week, which will be the last cross country meet.  4 years sure flew by!
