Didn't We Just Do This?

Didn't we just do this?

And this?

But this time the boys made one of these.

And the snow didn't infringe on my social life.

Dogs on the Couch

The stuffed dogs are starting to look like they have more personality than the real one.

I'll Flip for That

Kyle and Reed started a new gymnastics class last week.
It's a tumbling only class.

If they're going to tear up my house flipping and cartwheeling off the couches and chairs, at least they'll have the proper form (and look good doing it).

To say they're the smallest in the class is quite the understatement.

There's Been a Murder!

When I found out my neighbors, Debbie and Denise, had birthdays one day after the other, I knew we had a great excuse to throw a party.

And what better party to throw than one of Randi's Murder Mystery parties.

We choose the Murder in Margaritaland party, and had a blast!

Jason and I were Joe and Jane Coconut, owners of Margaritaland resort.
I know my costume is super lame for me...even though I do have a parrot on my head, holding my name tag.

The birthday girls!

And what's a party without prizes?

Best Performance:
Starr Bright the Movie Star (AKA: JR's friend, Alex's mom)

Best Costume:
Farrah Fire Dancer (Pictured with Sandy Beachbum the Professional Surfer)

And most money at the end of the night...
(everyone is given the same amount and you try to bribe your way to the most)

Thurston Howard III the Millionaire
Caught in the act bribing Kylie Cocktail!

Our whole group.

Fashion Fabulous Friday

The Easter decorations went up this week.
And, let's just be honest... in no way, shape, or form should Easter decorations have anything to do with fashion.

But this is our house.

Easter baskets became hats and decorative carrots became swords.

On a side note, these pictures also prove why I don't own anything nice.
These two make it their jobs to tear-up, destroy, and use anything they can get their hands on as weaponry.

Safety. Sort Of.

The other morning before school Kyle and Reed headed out to the car before JR and I did.
(Not much bike riding going on in the snow and cold.)

I didn't think much about them being in the car alone, but when I got in, I started laughing.

It's not the first time I've seen (or posted about) stuffed animals in a seat belt, but I've never seen four strapped under the same belt!

(You can barely see the belt, but it's going over the back of the little wolf on top.)

Of course I snapped a picture, and then, of course, they had to be in the picture.

Snow, You're No Friend of Mine

Today I should be recapping Randi's fabulous and amazing Academy Awards party.
I should also be getting ready to go see Catch Me if You Can the Musical tonight.

But, I won't be doing either of those things.
Because this is what Sunday looked like.

Who would have thought snow on Sunday would keep me away from opening night at the theatre on Tuesday?
Well, the storm we had on Sunday attacked north Texas yesterday, so the trucks couldn't get here.

I might not have been excited for the snow, but the kids were.

Here they are (JR, Reed, and Nolan) heading out to sled.

Jason got to do one of his favorite activities he's missed out on since our Durango days.

And Kyle ran out of snow to shovel at the house, so he moved to the street.

But, thankfully, my social calendar isn't a full bust.
Randi moved her Oscar party to this Sunday, and we'll be seeing our show on Thursday!
