When The Lights Go Out

Since it "hasn't rained since the day I pulled out of the driveway last summer", it was quite a welcome surprise to get a little 1/4 of inch "shower" today.

(A "shower" is what Southerners call rain that, while happy it rained, isn't nearly enough for their liking.)

Unfortunately, our little afternoon shower was accompanied by a wind storm that knocked out the electricity for about 3 hours.

Thankfully, the dominoes had been washed earlier in the day!

So with the electricity out, Jason set up our own little non-redneck shooting gallery.
Non-redneck since the targets aren't beer cans, and we used a Crepe Myrtle...Duh!

Never too young to join in the fun.

Looks like you took advantage of the no electricity to have some good old-fashioned quality time. sometimes that is what it takes for us to enjoy the simple things. Have a happy 4th and enjoy the Crockett parade.
Love ya

I totally admire your son for making sure the dominoes got washed. My children have never washed ours. Love the fun pictures of your kids having fun.
